Terms of service

Last updated 7 September 2026 · Mangala

These terms govern your use of Mangala. By building or publishing an invitation here, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Mangala is operated by TODO_LEGAL_NAME, an individual proprietor in TODO_CITY, TODO_STATE, India. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that person, and “you” means the person using the service.

2. What the service is

We provide a tool that builds a wedding invitation web page from information you enter, publishes it at a link you can share, lets you download it as a PDF, and optionally renders it as a video file. We do not print cards, manage guest lists on your behalf, or organise any part of your wedding.

3. Your account

You need an account to save a draft. You must give a working email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account. You must be at least 18. Everything done through your account is treated as done by you.

4. What you pay

Building is free. You pay only to publish: from ₹1,199 for an invitation (the exact price is shown on each design), and ₹599 for a video (less if bought together). Prices are in Indian Rupees and are one-time — nothing renews and nothing is charged again automatically. We are not registered under GST, so no GST is charged. Payments are handled by a licensed payment gateway; we never see or store your card details. We may change prices, but never for something you have already bought.

5. Your content stays yours

The names, photographs, music and text you put into an invitation remain entirely yours. You grant us only the narrow permission we need to run the service: to store your content, and to display it on the invitation page and in the video you asked us to make. We do not sell it, use it to train anything, or put it in our own marketing without asking you first.

6. What you promise about your content

You confirm that you have the right to use everything you upload. In particular:

  • Photographs. You either took them or have the photographer's permission, and the people in them are content to appear.
  • Music. Uploading a commercial recording to a page you share publicly usually infringes copyright, whoever owns the CD. Upload only music you hold the rights to. Music we supply in the app is licensed for use here.

You must not use the service for anything unlawful, for content that is obscene, hateful or defamatory, to impersonate someone, or to send bulk unsolicited messages.

7. Your invitation is public at its link

A published invitation is reachable by anyone who has its link. We do not list it in search engines and we do not publish the link ourselves, but a link forwarded on WhatsApp is a link anyone can open. Do not put anything on the page you would not want a stranger to read. You can unpublish at any time from your account.

8. How long we host it

12 months from publication. We will email you before that runs out so you can extend it or take a copy. After expiry the page stops working and the content may be deleted.

9. Availability

We work hard to keep invitations up, especially on wedding days, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, and failures at the hosting or payment providers we depend on, can interrupt it.

10. Suspension

We may suspend or remove an invitation that breaks clause 6, that is the subject of a credible legal complaint, or that we are required to remove by law. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we remove a paid invitation for a reason that is not your fault, you get a full refund.

11. Our liability

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the invitation concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

We say this plainly because it matters to you: check your own invitation. If a date, a venue or a name is wrong because it was typed in wrong, that is not something we can be responsible for, and it is the one mistake that actually costs you something.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. If a change materially reduces what you have already paid for, we will email you about it. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at TODO_CITY, TODO_STATE have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause removes any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including the right to complain to a consumer forum where you live.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms: TODO_SUPPORT_EMAIL. Complaints go to our Grievance Officer, listed on the contact page.
