A Madurai wedding invitation under the temple tower

Madurai Gopuram opens on a temple tower in the style of Madurai’s Meenakshi Amman temple, rising tier on tier over a deep vermilion sky. Its colours change with the time of day you choose — Vermilion Dusk, Temple Night, or Sandal & Kumkum — and the tower takes each one on.

It is made for a Tamil wedding with its roots in Madurai and the temple towns of the south. Put the muhurtham and venue first, with directions on a map, then add the Nichayathartham, Haldi, Nalangu and reception in the order they happen. Set it in Tamil and the kalyana pathirikai reads in Tamil script from the first line.

Made for

  • Tamil weddings with family roots in Madurai and the temple towns
  • Couples who want a classic, heritage look rather than a modern one
  • Families sending the invitation in Tamil, with English for friends

Questions

Can the invitation be in Tamil?
Yes. Choose Tamil and the invitation is set in Tamil script throughout. English, Hindi and Telugu are available too.
Can I add the Nalangu and reception?
Yes. Add them along with the engagement, Haldi or any other event, each with its own date, time and venue.
Can I tell guests who to call?
Yes. The “Who to call” section lists the people guests should reach, so nobody has to ask around.
